FIRST BOX BREAK FOR MY BLOG- 2013 PANINI PRIZM BASEBALL

I went to Target and decided to grab a blaster box of 2013 Panini Prizm Baseball. It was my first time getting anything from Panini. I must say, I like how it looks despite not having any official MLB logos on them. (I know this product has been out for awhile). Personally, I like the color with the metallic-chrome look on all the cards along with the inserts. Also, it has veterans (past and present) along with plenty of good rookies. The inserts in the Prizm are pretty cool in my opinion. The box brought 7 retail packs with 4 cards each. In addition, it included a 3 card Target-exclusive Red Prizm pack.

Base Cards:
Jurickson Profar (RC)
Evan Longoria
Dylan Bundy (RC)
Bernie Williams
Jake Elmore (RC)
Fernando Rodney
Felix Hernandez
Alex Rios
Carlos Martinez (RC)
Jordan Zimmermann
Michael Bourn
Nick Markakis
Nick Maronde (RC)
Kyle Gibson (RC)
Hunter Pence
Munenori Kawasaki (RC)
Nate Freiman (RC)
Wilin Rosario
Francisco Peguero (RC)
Melky Cabrera
Mike Napoli (Green Prizm)
Nomar Garciaparra
Khris Davis (RC)
Desmond Jennings
Mike Zunino (RC / Red Prizm)
Ryan Jackson (RC / Red Prizm)
Sean Dolittle (RC / Red Prizm)

Band of Brothers:
Carlos Gonzalez / Troy Tulowitzki / Wilin Rosario (Colorado)

Fearless:
Bryce Harper

Superstar:
Clayton Kershaw (Green Prizm)

USA Baseball:
Jered Weaver

Though it wasn't a mind blowing box, I would maybe consider the Bryce Harper the clutch hit in the box as far as value. Not sure if any of them are SPs. Overall, I enjoyed the cards considering it being my first Panini brand cards. Would I buy it again? Ehhh... Only if there isn't any other potential choices on the shelves, I think I would buy one more box.
MY PERSONAL SCORE:  2.80 / 5

Any thoughts?

FIRST EVER BLOG POST

How's everyone out there? I'll introduce myself to all of you as RJ. Not to get into too much of my personal life, I'll go ahead and say I am an avid baseball fan. I am 27 years old and currently live in Miami, Florida so therefore I am a big Miami Marlins fan (no bashing please lol). Been a fan of the Marlins since they were born in 1993 as the Florida Marlins. I don't have a favorite player but I do enjoy rooting for the young guys on the team especially their pitching staff (I was a pitcher when I played baseball in high school and some college).

As far as being a baseball card collector, I've been mostly on and off. I have been collecting cards since about 10 years old when my father and/or mother bought me cards. Ever since I have been hooked. I have been going through phases where I wouldn't buy any cards for months (maybe years) to then just buy a pack for the heck of it to then buying because I missed the rush of ripping a pack to see what "hit" is in the pack. At the moment, I don't specifically collect any team or player. I enjoy getting the "hits" even if its a simple parallel or insert card or SP card (if I know what to look for of course). In my opinion, I would say my collection is pretty decent for someone who buys random packs and occasional hobby boxes and has never done a trade. Compared to most of you guys out there though, my collection looks like a beginner starter kit lol.

So I do have accounts with Beckett and SCF and I've had those accounts for awhile. I don't hardly ever post anything though. I enjoy mostly reading and seeing what's in the market and what's interesting and seeing the great hits collectors have been getting.

I just want everyone to know I am very new to this whole blogging thing so any little tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated lol. For now, I'll be blogging anything and everything about baseball and collecting. I would be posting my breaks and opinions of the product and would like to hear from all of you guys as well. Unfortunately, I don't have any social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, etc) for the moment. Hope to create a friendship with all of you and most definitely learn from all of you guys. I would be updating my blog page as I go since I am still learning how to use it.
